After giving the biggest blockbuster hit of 2017 with Golmaal Again Ajay Devgn is back with the action thriller Raid taken based on a real story. Lot’s of expectation was on this film since Golmaal Again has collected 200 Cr at Indian box office. But this film is totally different from Golmaal Again it’s like an action thriller like Baadshaho while Golmaal Again is a commercial Comedy entertainer.
However, expectations were high whether this film will be able to beat opening day box office record of Golmaal Again. But when asking with trade experts have suggested that the film might open anywhere in the range between 9-11 Cr. Because thought the trailer of the film have drawn the attention of the audience however the film is not commercially promoted.
Also, this type of film requires good content and a positive word of mouth which will boost up the film’s collection. The movie directed by Raj Kumar Gupta starring Ajay Devgn, Illeana D Cruz in the Lead Role. Saurabh Shukla plays the role of a Wealthy Goon in this film.
The film portrays around the story of Sharda Prashad Pandey, an income tax commissioner in Lucknow, who had raided the house of businessman Sardar Inder Singh in 1981 and recovered assets worth Rs 1.60 crore in cash and gold. The raid went on for 18 hours with 45 persons were present only for counting notes itself.

The film released around 2500 Screens in India will face no big competition on the opening day due to no big releases on today. Till now the film has been receiving ravishing reviews from the audience.
Till evening Shows the film has made around 8.67 Cr on the opening day and the total collections will be revealed after the film’s total collection is updated.
