Saif Ali Khan signed to play a role in Netflix sacred games – based on book by Scott Elsworth

It was a day ago when Netflix officially announced about its first debut Indian project film named as sacred games based on a novel by Scott Elsworth. And also Saif Ali Khan making his debut in his first digital film. After the Rangoon fails to deliver saif is concentrating on his next films kaalakandi and chef which will be released in a short duration of time. He is already having three film releases in his hand and he had signed for his next release which will be added to the big list of upcoming films.  saif ali khans sacred games

On asking Saif he says he was really waiting for the moment to work with Netflix and the moment has come out at just right time. The name sacred games were also taken from a novel of an Indo American authors title. And most of the film sequences were planned to be shot in India.

Since the film is based on a novel we might guess a bit about the story and it will be easy too since it was a famous author whose books are popular in stores. It is based upon two characters Sartaj Singh a Sikh police cop in Mumbai location and Ganesh gaitonde a big criminal gangster. Sartaj was into his marriage works during that time he came to know the secret hideout of this gangster. And also he was the only Sikh policeman in the city. it was based on the time during the 20th century. So the film might not be taken based on modern times.  saif ali khans sacred games

And adding some spices to the news Anurag Kashyap has also signed as co-producer for this film.
