The film is a sequel to the 1999 horror flick Akasha Ganga, which starred Divya Unni in the lead. After seeing the trailer we can say that Ramya Krishnan will be playing the central character in Akasha Ganga 2. Clearly, she plays a US-returned doctorate holder who practices black magic. Whereas, the film also has newbie Aarthi making her debut in the lead role.
