Khichik is an upcoming 2019 Marathi Language Comedy Drama movie. The title of the movie is inspired by the sound of the camera and a very emotional story of a teenage boy found by local goons. Khichik Story
The film starts in a humble village in rural Maharashtra, where two boys, Phatphati (Yash Khond) and his friend, are clicked by a foreigner (Paula L McGlynn) visiting the area. Unable to speak Marathi and short of time, the lady just says ‘Khichik’ to the young Phatphati, before leaving the village. Now, Phatphati is adamant about finding a picture of him and his friend. He stops eating and talking to anyone, and won’t start until he finds the picture. A fellow villager (Siddharth Jadhav) learns of Phatphati’s desire and offers to help the young kid. He tells Phatphati’s grandfather (Anil Dhakate) that they should visit Pune, where he will help them find the lady and the picture.
However, when they reach Pune, he robs off the grandfather and absconds. The film then takes an even emotional turn with the grandfather separating from Phatphati. In the quest to find his grandson, his grandfather struggles a lot, spends sleepless and hungry nights. He searches everywhere, but in vain. On the other hand, a group of thieves find Phatphati and keep him safe. Do the grandfather and grandson reunite?
