Shimla Mirchi is an upcoming Bollywood romantic comedy-drama film of 2020. Ramesh Sippy has directed the movie making a comeback after 25 years. Jointly produced by Ramesh Sippy, Rohan Sippy, and Kiran Juneja, the film stars Rajkummar Rao, Hema Malini and Rakul Preet Singh in the lead. The film is releasing after a long delay of 5 years because of no buyers for it. Shimla Mirchi is all set to release in the first week of January 2020.

Plot
Avi, a small-town boy, is trying to find the love of his life and marry her. But, he has a small problem that is getting very nervous whenever he tries to talk to a girl. So, his friend asks him to seek an arranged marriage. One day, he meets Naina while she was running in wedding attire. Naina has an issue with her mother’s love life. After gaining some courage, Avi meets Naina. They bond well together, and Avi falls in love with her. In fear of losing her, Avi hesitates to confess his love. He writes a letter with a poem and puts it in the mailbox of Naina’s house. But, Naina’s mother takes the note. She gets impressed with the writing of Avi and thinking that the letter is for her, she falls in love with Avi. Naina informs Avi about her mother’s love towards him, and Avi is left confused knowing this. Will Avi be able to clear the confusion and confess his love to Naina, or will he be able to accept Naina’s mother as the love of his life is the rest of the plot.

The trailer has received a good reception with over 12 million views in 5 days on YouTube. There is also news that the movie is releasing directly on OTT.
