The show is an adaptation of memoirs of London Metropolitan police chief inspector Colin Sutton who lead the task force in solving the murders between 2002 and 2004.  Marc Evans has made a name for himself in directing this intense and fascinating British crime series. 2. Too Old to Die Young

Set in the streets of Los Angeles by the controversial director of The Neon Demon, Bronson and Drive, Nicolas Winding Refn is the name behind this riveting crime series. The thriller series, Too Old to Die Young stars Whiplash’s Miles Teller. 

He plays a grieving police officer whose life is blown apart in one tragic night when along with the man who shot his partner is thrust into the world of a deadly underground cartel of Yakuza assassins. And mysterious vigilantes from Russian mafia captains, Mexico and gangs of teen killers as his dark past closes in on him.

There is plenty of gunplay and suspense to string you along coupled with notable performances from the stellar cast of William Baldwin, Jena Malone, John Hawkes, and Miles Teller.

3. Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes

Thirty years after the execution of notorious serial killer Ted Bundy, Netflix presents a new exhilarating four-part provocative crime series by activist and filmmaker Joe Berlinger. It includes archival footage, over 100 present-day interviews and audio recordings of the most infamous serial killer in the history of America while on death row in his cell in Florida.

Conversations with a Killer look inside the lurid mind of serial killer Ted Bundy and his horrific and brutal murders. The series is a chronology of Bundy’s life, crimes, arrests, escapes, and death. This Netflix true-crime documentary unlocks the nuts and bolts of how a famous serial killer operated. 

It is a wildly engrossing, methodical and pure epic.

4. Riverdale

Welcome to Riverdale a town with pep, thronged with mysteries, cults, and murder. There’s plenty dose of drama and intrigue. This sumptuous teen melodrama is up for season 3 this year and it’s gotten us hooked since its conception in 2017. 

Riverdale is an American teen drama based on the Archie comic series. This brilliant and exciting crime series is as noir as they come. Archie and his friends while navigating the murky waters of family, school, sex and romance are entangled in a web of trauma, fierce gunplay, and a dark Riverdale mystery. 

A creation of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa featuring an award-winning cast of Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Lily Reinhart, Camilla Mendes, Cole Sprouse, Veronica Lodge, and Jughead Jones among others. This thrilling serial killer drama is no doubt one of the trippiest noirs of 2019.

5. Jett

“If crime doesn’t pay then you’re doing it wrong,” this is the slogan of world-class burglar Daisy “Jett” Kowalski. Jett is an American crime thriller TV series by Sebastian Gutierrez starring Daisy “Jett” Kowalski, Charlie Baudelaire and Jack Dillon among others. the opening scene sinks its teeth into you and keeps you hooked throughout the show.

Fresh out of prison, skilled ex-thief Daisy “Jett” Kowalski is forced to ditch her retirement plans for a “final” task in Cuba assigned to her by ruthless and powerful crime lord Charlie Baudelaire. 

This final scheme not only reunites Jett with a former flame but she risks losing everyone she cares for. And it hands her over to ruthless criminals willing to exploit her skills to further their goals.

6. Criminal Minds

The brilliant “mind hunter” team comprises of a quirky genius, an official profiler highly skilled at sneaking into the minds of criminals, a computer wizard, and a former media liaison.

Creation and production of Jeff Davis, the show stars an ensemble cast including Lola Glaudini, Thomas Gibson, Shemar Moore, Kirsten Vangsness and many more. Criminal Minds has over the years been a rating hit for CBS and gained critical acclaim for its directing, writing, cast and pacing.

7. Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists

But when a gruesome murder strikes Beacon Heights everyone is put on edge and there’s a new murder mystery to solve.  The once seemingly perfect town is riddled with imperfections, lies, and secrets.

8. Proven Innocent

Proven innocent is an American legal drama series created by David Elliot that sequels the emotional story of a woman’s fight (Madeline Scott) to prove the innocence of wrongfully convicted people. 

This follows her wrongful convicted of her best friend, Rosemary’s murder turning her into an infamous media obsession in one of the most sensational murder cases. The FOX TV show stars Russell Hornsby, Riley Smith, Rachelle Lefevre, and Nikki M. James. 

Madeline Scott a fierce and uncompromising lawyer leads an underdog criminal defense firm with her partner Easy Boudreau who helped free her after 10 years in prison to bring justice to those wrongfully convicted. This film is epic and sensational and definitely worth a second watch.

9. Quicksand

A tragedy at school sends shockwaves throughout a wealthy Stockholm suburb. A school shooting in Stockholm’s Djursholm senior high school leaves high school student Maja arrested and facing trial for murder. 

As new revelations are made, more suspicions and doubts arise. This Swedish crime thriller television series is based on the 2016 novel, Quicksand, by Malin Persson Giolito. This six-episode features dynamite performances by cast crew Felix Sandman, Hanna Ardéhn, William Spetz, David Dencik, Ella Rappich, and Reuben Sallmander among others.

This Swedish noir series is a very gripping and suspenseful tale. If you haven’t watched Quicksand remedy that right now.
