The movie story is based on Winston Groom’s 1986 novel of the same name. Aamir Khan bought the rights to the film in 2018 and officially announced the film on 14 March 2019 under the title Lal Singh Satta.
Lal Singh Satta’s shouts are heard in more than 100 places in India. The main photo of the film was on 31 October 2019. The first schedule was on November 1 in Chandigarh, Punjab, and was completed within 21 days. A love scene with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor was taken on 28 November 2019 in Chandigarh
