Akshay Kumar’s most awaited Prithviraj movie is a 2022 Bollywood biographical-historical-drama directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi who directed the biggest television film Chanakya. The movie star Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonu Sood, are in the lead roles. The film has to produce by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films. While cinematography and editing were done by Manush Nandan and Aarif Sheikh.

Sonu Sood appears as Chandravardai, a loyal friend of Prithviraj. Manav Vij overspread the scene as Sultan Muhammad Ghori declared war on Delhi. Prithviraj confronts him on the battlefield and lays wreaths at his idol when questioned about his association with him. Prithviraj is based on the Braj language epic Prithviraj Raso about the life of Prithviraj Chauhan. The trailer got a 51million views on Youtube within one day.

The film has met numerous delays due to the coronavirus pandemic. Recently movie team announces, the movie has scheduled for release on June 3 in theatres. The film will also be released in Telugu and Tamil languages.
